The arm of the maglock was shaved down about 40% of the thickness and it's still not enough to clear the ambi pedal when the maglock is pressed. As its shown in the pictures, it is just enough to clear the pedal when not pressed. It does have BHO, but there is enough slop in the ar maglock that when in BHO it is easy for the sliver of metal on the ar maglock to not line up with the tiny crack between the upper and lower. Other than having to permanently modify the lower, the houge solution is clearly the best.

Oof that looks rough. Unfortunately, that's similar to my experiences with the AR Maglock Gen 4+ Kingpin. Haven't had the buffer scratched up like that but having a "break-in" period of 500-1000 rounds is shitty when 556 is almost a dollar a round. Maybe you'll have better luck with something like the Hogue Freedom Fighter with the Kingpin?
